not discrminate against prospective tenants becaues they may receive a
portion of their income from public assistance, such as a Housing
Choice Voucher
(commnoly called a "Section-8" voucher). If you recieve
Section-8, then your household must spend no more than 35% of its gross monthly
income on your portion
of the rent. So, for example, if your portion of the rent
will be
$215 per month, then you must have gross monthly income of $614 per
month.
Your application will still have to meet all the other requirements
(credit/prior landlords/criminal records/eviction) in order to be
approved.
